Ormond Road, East Geelong
We completed the Ormond Road, East Geelong redevelopment project in 2026.
The project replaced 18 ageing social housing homes that were no longer fit for purpose with 54 social housing homes, providing an uplift of 36 homes or triple the amount of social housing at Ormond Road.
The new homes are a mix of one-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments. They are modern, accessible, energy efficient and located close to schools, employment, transport and services.
Each home has its own private outdoor courtyard or balcony, and access to shared facilities like a barbecue, gardens and community spaces. The new homes are social housing for people on the Victorian Housing Register.
Not-for-profit community housing provider Women’s Housing Limited will manage the Ormond Road homes over a 30-year leasing period. They will provide tenancy management and maintenance services for residents, supporting them to build community and maintain long-term tenancies.
This housing project was delivered through the Big Housing Build.
