House Creek Precinct, Wodonga

Tag icon New building

We’re delivering more and better homes in the House Creek area of Wodonga.

The House Creek project will redevelop 17 ageing public housing homes in Schlink, Hereford and Carkeek Streets. In their place, we’re building 41 new social housing homes and affordable rental homes.

The new homes are close to parklands and local amenities. They will be a mix of one-, 2-, 3- and 4-bedrooms and will be modern, accessible and energy-efficient.

The project is funded by the Victorian Government’s Regional Housing Fund with support from the Australian Government’s Housing Support Program.

The project received planning approval in August 2025.

Demolition will begin from late 2025. Construction works will start in mid-2026.

Community consultation

In April and May 2025, we shared the proposed design plans for the new homes at House Creek with the community. The feedback we received from the community has helped to inform the final design plans.

Thank you to everyone that took part in the consultation.

A report is available that outlines how we engaged with the local community, what we heard and how we responded.

Find out more about the consultation and access the report on Engage Victoria’s website.
