Information for neighbours
We know your neighbourhood is important to you. The House Creek redevelopment will add much needed housing stock to the Wodonga area. It will deliver modern and energy-efficient homes to Victorians most in need of a home.
Work underway
From August 2026, work will begin on Schlink, Carkeek and Hereford Streets, Wodonga while we build 41 new social and affordable rental homes at House Creek.
What to expect:
- Earthworks – preparing the ground for the construction of new homes
- Installing, upgrading and connecting essential services like water, electricity, and drainage
- Construction of new homes, including pouring concrete slabs and building frames, walls, driveways and fences
- Creating new laneways and footpaths within the site.
At times there may be:
- Increased activity and machinery on site, including contractors in hi-vis clothing and trucks and construction vehicles entering and leaving the site
- Local traffic changes, including temporary road closures
- Traffic management to assist pedestrians and vehicles
- Medium-level vibrations
- Some noise and dust.
All works will be managed in line with WorkSafe Victoria and Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Victoria regulations.
Our contractor will use control measures, such as dust suppression and noise reduction equipment, to reduce impacts to nearby neighbours as much as possible.
