Delacombe, Ballarat

As part of the Big Housing Build, we’re building more and better homes in Ballarat.

We know that the Ballarat community needs more high-quality housing, and this project will deliver 181 modern, accessible and energy efficient homes close to schools, healthcare, and community services.

The project will include a mix of one-, 2-, 3-, and 4-bedroom homes with at least 5% of the social housing homes to be fully accessible for Victorians living with disability.

The homes will be a mix of townhouses, detached and semi-detached dwellings and include 117 social homes and 64 affordable homes.

The design also includes new streets and footpaths for better connectivity across the neighbourhood.

A master plan was developed to help shape the vision for the Delacombe site. Community consultation as part of the master planning process has helped inform the early plans of the Delacombe Big Housing Build.

Engagement report now available

From 2 to 23 June 2025, we consulted the Ballarat community and other stakeholders on the plans for the new homes at Delacombe. The feedback we received during consultation has helped to inform the final design plans.

Thank you to everyone that took part in the consultation process.

A report has been developed outlining how we engaged with the community, what we heard, and how we’ve responded.
