Applications are now open for the North Richmond Precinct Community Grants Program 2026

Applications are now open for the 2026 North Richmond Precinct Community Grants Program.  

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing with City of Yarra has adopted a new model for their Grants Program after hearing feedback from previous grant applicants.  

Community groups, organisations, and individuals aged 16 and above with a strong connection to the precinct are encouraged to apply for grants of up to $1000.  

Priority of these grants will be given to projects that support: 

  • Safety, neighbourhood and amenity
  • Health, wellbeing and participation
  • Economic revitalisation and inclusion
  • Local jobs for local people 

Applications close Sunday 19 October 2025 at 11:59 pm. 

About Richmond Precinct

Located in the heart of Richmond between busy Victoria Street, Church Street, Highett Street and Lennox Street, the Richmond precinct is home to over 1,000 households. The precinct is a mix of existing buildings built between 1971 and 1975 and new developments. 

The Richmond local housing office is located at 112 Elizabeth Street. 

Residents living in 139 Highett Street, 111, 119 and 127 Elizabeth Street, 6 and 8 Anderson Court, and 1-5, 7 and 9 Williams Court, Richmond have started progressing relocations due to be complete by February 2026. The redevelopment is due to be complete by 2032. 

Residents living at 106, 108, 110 and 112 Elizabeth Street are not currently required to relocate.
