Project update

Homes Victoria is delivering new social and affordable housing to give more Victorians a safe a secure place to call home.

Abbotsford Street, North Melbourne is located to Melbourne’s north, just a few kilometres from the city centre.

The redevelopment of the site will replace 112 social homes that are not compliant with current design standards with approximately 300 new homes, including 133 social homes and 167 market homes.

The site will deliver a 18% increase in social housing and First Home Buyers will be given priority access to purchase a new market home.

The supply of new housing at the site will help tackle the growing problem of housing affordability in Victoria.
