Information for neighbours

All works will be undertaken in accordance with WorkSafe Victoria regulations, and we will do our best to minimise inconvenience for the local community. 

You can expect: 

• The site is safely fenced off at all times.
• Contractors in hi-vis and protective clothing operating heavy machinery.
• Trucks and construction vehicles entering and leaving the area.
• Local traffic changes, including temporary road closures and traffic management to assist pedestrians and vehicles.
• We’ll take steps to reduce noise and dust as much as we can.
• Water or power may be briefly interrupted when we connect new services (with advanced notice).  

Homes Victoria has engaged Harnest Constructions Pty Ltd to undertake the works. 

The health and safety of the Benalla West community is our priority. To maintain safety, we will restrict access to site, permitting access to professional contractors only. Our contractor will use control measures, such as dust suppression and noise reduction equipment, to reduce impacts as much as possible. All works will be compliant with WorkSafe Victoria and EPA Victoria regulations. 

Nearby neighbours will receive notices in their letterboxes ahead of any significant works. We will also publish all works notices on this web page. To receive updates via email, you can also  sign up for Benalla West project updates.
