Barak Beacon is continuing to take shape in Port Melbourne, with the buildings now structurally complete and work continuing inside the new homes. Landscaping and outdoor spaces are also progressing, helping bring the redevelopment to life ahead of its completion from late 2026.

The redevelopment will deliver 408 new social, affordable rental, market rental and Specialist Disability Accommodation homes.

The new homes will feature bright and welcoming spaces, landscaped outdoor areas and shared community facilities. The redevelopment will also include landscaped gardens, a multipurpose community room and space for a future café and social enterprise.

Located just a short distance from Melbourne’s CBD and directly across from the beach, the redevelopment is creating more housing opportunities close to public transport, jobs, schools, community services and local shops.
