Information for neighbours

The builder at the site will always try to keep impacts to a minimum. Where works are planned that may impact you, you’ll receive a works notice in your letterbox. 

The works notice will contain information about what’s happening on site and how any disruptions will be managed. The notice will also contain information about who you can contact if you have any questions or concerns. 

Site works will operate within standard hours as determined by your local city council. With the exceptions of emergencies or planning permits, construction works in City of Banyule are carried out between the hours of: 

• 7 am and 6 pm Monday to Friday
• 9 am and 3 pm on Saturday
• No works on Sundays or public holidays. 

There may be circumstances where the builder will need to work outside of standard working hours.  

In cases where the builder plans to undertake activities outside of standard working hours, they will seek permission from the local Council and aim to notify the community in advance. 

Near neighbours will receive notices in their letterboxes ahead of any significant works.
