A brighter future for young people in Bairnsdale

Homes Victoria is proud to be partnering with Kids Under Cover and Gippsland and East Gippsland Aboriginal Co-operative (GEGAC) Ltd to deliver more supported housing for First Nations young people in Bairnsdale. Part of the ‘Village 21’ program, 5 more places have now been delivered.

The homes provide a pathway to stable housing for young people aged 18–21, including those leaving care, helping them build confidence and develop the life skills needed to successfully transition to independent living. 

Young people living on the site will be able to enjoy the privacy of their own studio, while a communal area encourages shared cooking, conversation and social interaction.
