Aboriginal housing

A registered Aboriginal housing provider can allocate housing for people who have applied for social housing through the Victorian Housing Register.

There are currently 8 registered Aboriginal housing providers in Victoria:

• Murray Valley Aboriginal Co-operative

• Worn Gundidj Aboriginal Co-operative Limited

The First Peoples Home Ownership Program provides financial uplift for First Peoples homebuyers with one-off grant packages.

The program gives ready homebuyers a range of grants to help them buy their own home. Applicants can also access assistance to navigate home ownership pathways to move towards their housing goals.
