Cranes to come down at Bluff Road
Works are progressing well on 285 new homes at the Bluff Road housing site as we head towards another construction milestone.
The first of 3 tower cranes will be coming down soon as the building structures continue to take shape.
The first crane will be removed from the site between Wednesday 4 June and Friday 6 June 2025. The remaining 2 cranes will be dismantled in the coming month/s.
The fit-out of the apartments will be starting soon once the building structures are complete, and you may notice different contractors on site.
We are delivering the new social, affordable, market rental and specialist disability accommodation homes at Hampton East together with our project partner Building Communities.
The new homes and improved open spaces will be complete in late 2026.

What to expect
The tower cranes will be dismantled within the site boundary using a mobile crane within standard working hours. This will have minimal impact on residents.
The tower cranes will be removed from the site in sections on semi-trailers via Wickham Road and/or Widdop Crescent. Traffic management will be in place to direct vehicles and pedestrians as the cranes are transported from site.
